Please read these terms carefully before using our site. By accessing or using Worst House on the Street, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.
Last updated: 23 July 2026
Welcome to Worst House on the Street (the “Site”), operated by Worst House on the Street Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (Company number: 16454228), with registered office at Church Farm Main Road, Aust, Bristol, England, BS35 4AZ (“we”, “us”, “our”).
These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern access to and use of the Site and related services we make available (together, the “Services”). By accessing or using the Services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.
Worst House on the Street is a UK-focused portal for renovation and opportunity properties. Listings may include properties curated from third-party sources and properties submitted by users (including homeowners and organisations). The Services may change over time as we add or adjust features.
We may partner with third-party service providers (for example financing, surveying, conveyancing, or design partners). If you use those services, their terms and privacy policies also apply. We are not responsible for partner services, though we may receive compensation for referrals.
From time to time we may introduce or recommend third-party suppliers, contractors, or other professionals. Any such introduction or recommendation is provided for information only. We are not a party to any contract between you and that third party, we do not supervise their work, and we are not liable for their acts, omissions, delays, quality of work, fees, or any loss arising from your dealings with them. You should carry out your own checks before engaging anyone we mention.
We are not an estate agent for curated third-party listings, and unless we expressly say otherwise we do not act as your agent in any property transaction. Always verify information independently before making decisions.
Some features require an account. You must provide accurate information, keep your login details secure, and tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access. You are responsible for activity under your account.
You can browse much of the Site without an account. To create an account, publish listings, manage an organisation, or buy paid features, you must be at least 18 and able to form a binding contract under applicable law. If you use the Services on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you have authority to bind that organisation, and “you” includes that organisation.
We may require email verification or other checks before certain features are available. We may suspend or close accounts that we reasonably believe breach these Terms or pose a security, legal, or operational risk.
Where organisation accounts are available, an organisation administrator is responsible for managing members, roles, and access. Actions taken by members within an organisation may affect that organisation’s listings, enquiries, and billing. You must only invite people who are authorised to access the organisation’s data.
If you submit, upload, or publish content through the Services (including property listings, images, descriptions, contact details, and organisation profiles) (“User Content”), you remain responsible for that content.
You confirm that you have all rights needed to submit User Content and that it is accurate, lawful, and not misleading; does not infringe third-party rights; and complies with advertising, consumer, property, and other applicable laws. You must not publish content that is fraudulent, discriminatory, defamatory, or otherwise harmful.
You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, adapt (for formatting and technical delivery), display, distribute, and otherwise use User Content as reasonably needed to operate, promote, and improve the Services. This licence continues for as long as the content remains on the Services and for a reasonable period afterwards for backups, legal, and operational purposes.
We may review, refuse, edit, suspend, or remove listings or other User Content (including placing listings into review before publication) if we reasonably consider it necessary to protect users, comply with law, enforce these Terms, or maintain quality. We are not obliged to monitor all User Content.
We may offer paid features, upgrades, or promotions (for example featured or priority placement for listings, and other add-ons we introduce). Prices, billing intervals, and what’s included are shown at the point of purchase and may change for future purchases or renewals with reasonable notice where required.
Payments are processed by our payment provider (currently Stripe). By purchasing, you authorise us and our payment provider to charge the payment method you provide for the selected plan and any applicable taxes. You are responsible for keeping payment details up to date.
Unless we state otherwise at purchase: (a) fees are charged in advance for the relevant billing period; (b) cancelling a recurring paid feature stops future renewals but does not usually refund the current period; and (c) access to the paid benefit continues until the end of the period already paid for, where that is how the feature is described at purchase.
If you are a consumer, nothing in these Terms limits your statutory rights. For digital content or services supplied immediately after purchase, you may be asked to consent to immediate supply and acknowledge that the usual cooling-off right may not apply once supply has begun, to the extent permitted by law.
Organisation purchases may be billed to the organisation. Organisation administrators are responsible for managing billing access and payment methods for that organisation.
Content on the Site is provided for general information. It is not advice on which you should rely. Property details (including price, availability, tenure, floor area, and images) may be incomplete, outdated, or incorrect, especially where sourced from third parties or submitted by users. Always carry out your own checks and obtain professional advice before acting.
We make reasonable efforts to keep the Services useful, but we do not guarantee that content is accurate, complete, or current, or that any listing will remain available.
You must not misuse the Services. Without limitation, you must not: attempt unauthorised access; scrape or harvest data except as allowed by robots rules or our written permission; interfere with security or performance; use the Services to send spam or unlawful marketing; impersonate others; or use the Services for any unlawful purpose.
We may change, suspend, or discontinue all or part of the Services (including features and pricing for future purchases) without notice where reasonably necessary. We will not be liable if the Services are unavailable at any time, except where we cannot exclude liability by law.
We (or our licensors) own the intellectual property in the Site and our content (excluding User Content). You may use the Services for your personal or internal business purposes in accordance with these Terms. You must not copy, modify, distribute, or commercially exploit our content except as expressly allowed.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under English law (including statutory rights that apply if you are a consumer).
Subject to the paragraph above, and to the extent permitted by law:
Where we are liable in connection with paid features you purchased from us, our aggregate liability for that purchase is limited to the fees you paid us for that feature in the 12 months before the claim, except where a higher limit is required by law.
The Site may contain links to third-party websites. Those links are for information only. We do not control and are not responsible for those sites or any loss arising from your use of them.
We process personal information as described in our Privacy Policy. Please read it carefully.
You may stop using the Services at any time and, where the product allows, delete your account or cancel paid features according to the cancellation terms shown at purchase. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms or if we discontinue the Services. Provisions that by their nature should survive (including intellectual property, liability limits, and governing law) will survive termination.
We may revise these Terms from time to time. The updated Terms will be posted on this page with a revised “Last updated” date. Continued use of the Services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms, except where applicable law requires a different process for material changes.
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have non-exclusive jurisdiction, without limiting any mandatory consumer protections that may apply if you are a consumer resident elsewhere in the UK.
